Slamming election strategist Prashant Kishor for his skepticism over YSRCP led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's return to power in the upcoming elections, Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana on Monday said his remarks were politically motivated as the welfare schemes launched by the State government during the past five years have won appreciation from the people in the nook and corner of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media here, the senior YSRCP leader said everyone knows at whose behest he has been talking. Prashant Kishor, who was appointed as strategist by the YSRCP for 2019 elections, held a meeting with TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu at the latter's Undavalli residence before BJP agreed for re-entry of TDP into the NDA fold.
Satyanarayana said NITI Aayog as well as the Prime Minister's advisory council have lauded the initiatives by the State for improving the economic standards and bringing about drastic changes in agriculture, education and health sectors. "The State has been elevated to fourth rank from 16th. We have increased the purchase power of the people," he said and described Chandrababu Naidu as a 'manipulator, manager and broker.'
He said, "Everyone knows our leader Jagan Mohan Reddy is a leader who always plans policies and schemes for improving the quality of living for all sections of people."
Coming down heavily on Naidu for his charge that the State is borrowing loans, he wondered how Naidu will implement so many welfare schemes without depending on loans. He said finally the key performance indicators (KPI) will speak volumes about the government's performance.
